You are invited to an OPEN HOUSE to share your input on
the future of Garfield Elementary.
Garfield Elementary was built in 1942 as a WPA project.
The school is a solid structure. The building's lack of space has lead to the construction
of a new school. The building is 27,000 square feet and the Board of Education
is interested in selling this property. A new elevator and boiler have been
installed in the past 5 years. There are window air conditioners. the building
is on the historic registry. This qualifies improvements for tax credits.
Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary

Abilene, Kansas
This school was opened in January. The building is
complete and students and staff are settled in. Students are proud of their
space.
The community is invited to come out and take a look!
