ACDC 4th Annual Winter Film Fest
Nothing beats a
good movie on a cold Sunday afternoon. The Arts Council of
Dickinson County presents the 4th Annual Winter Film Fest beginning
Sundays, January 10 through February 14 at 2:00 pm in the Eisenhower
Presidential Library Visitor Center.
Movies and
popcorn are free. Sodas may be purchased at the Visitor Center Gift Shop.

“Still Alice”- A
linguistics professor and her family find their bonds tested when she is
diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. (PG-13)
“Selma”-A
chronicle of Martin Luther King’s campaign to secure equal voting rights via an
epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965. (PG-13)
“The Good Lie”-A
group of Sudanese refugees given the chance to resettle in America arrive in
Kansas City, Missouri where their encounter with an employment agency counselor
forever changes all of their lives. (PG-13)
“McFarland,
USA”-Jim White moves his family after losing his last job as a football
coach. He sees that some of the students are worth starting a
cross-country team and turns seven students with no hope into one of the best
cross-country teams. (PG)
“The Best Exotic
Marigold Hotel”-British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what
they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than advertised, the
Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways. (PG-13)
“The Second Best
Exotic Marigold Hotel”-As the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel has only a single
remaining vacancy-posing a rooming predicament for two fresh arrivals-Sonny
pursue his expansionist dream of opening a second hotel. (PG)
