Hospital Radiology Department Passes Survey with Highest Rating

The Memorial Hospital Radiology and Imaging Services Department passed a recent Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) survey with zero deficiencies, the highest level of achievement.

During the survey, KDHE staff inspects all technologists’ credentials, equipment performance, the radiation physicist’s survey, the department’s policies and procedures, equipment maintenance logs, and radiation safety for both patients and personnel.

KDHE completes surveys to meet requirements of the Kansas Radiation Protection Regulations.  All of the radiation producing equipment in the department including, but not limited to, CT, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Dexa (bone density) is included in this survey.
